Why A Japan Home Goods Store?

The partners behind the store, Darrell Baum and Osamu Sagara, visit Japan every year to visit family.  They so love their travels and experiences in Japan that they wanted to bring it back to their home in Palm Springs, CA, to share with everyone.

What is Wabi Sabi?

In a few words, Wabi Sabi is about the "impermanence and imperfection" of Japanese art and design.

SHIPPING POLICY

  • We ship via UPS Ground unless you request a faster UPS service.

  • We pay for handling which includes shipping box, chips, tape, and employee time.

  • Shipping payment is a separate transaction.  We will text you the total and ways to pay, e.g, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or call w/CC.

  • We make every effort to pack same day but allow up to 48 hours for shipping.

  • We can hold on to your package for a later ship date. Let us know the date and we'll do everything we can to accommodate your request.

  • If a product is damaged during shipping we will work with UPS. Rarely is a product damaged in shipping.  We pack product securely in a box and then place that box in a larger shipping box with packing chips all around the inner box.

  • Return shipping for reasons such as "changed mind", "no longer like", is covered by the customer for a store credit.  Product must be re-sellable when received by us.

  • Knives are final sale and cannot be returned.

  • If a customer cancels an order packed for shipping:

    • Within 48 hours of purchase, there is no fee.

    • After 48 hours, there is a 10% re-stocking fee.

    • After 7 days, there is a 25% fee for re-stocking, handling, and lost revenue because the products were unavailable for other customers to purchase.
