Why A Japan Home Goods Store?

The partners behind the store, Darrell Baum and Osamu Sagara, visit Japan every year to visit family.  They so love their travels and experiences in Japan that they wanted to bring it back to their home in Palm Springs, CA, to share with everyone.

What is Wabi Sabi?

In a few words, Wabi Sabi is about the "impermanence and imperfection" of Japanese art and design.​

SHIPPING POLICY​

• We ship via UPS Ground unless you request an expedited UPS service.

 

• Handling costs (including shipping materials such as boxes, packing chips, tape, and employee labor) are covered by us.  

 

• Shipping charges are billed separately. We will text you the total along with payment options (Zelle, Venmo, or phone payment with a credit card).

 

• We strive to pack and ship orders the same day, but please allow up to 48 hours for processing.

 

• If you'd like us to hold your order for a future ship date, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

 

DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

• In the rare event of damage during shipping, we will coordinate directly with UPS. We pack all items securely in an inner box, which is then placed inside a larger shipping box with protective packing chips on all sides.

ORDER CANCELLATION

(after packing but before shipping):  

• Within 48 hours of purchase: no fee. 

• After 48 hours: 10% restocking fee.  

• After 7 days: 25% fee, covering restocking, handling, and lost revenue due to items being unavailable for sale.

PACKAGE ABANDONMENT 

• If shipping payment is not made within 7 days of notification, the order will be considered abandoned. A 25% fee will be charged for restocking, handling, and lost sales opportunity.

 

RETURNS  

• Returns for reasons such as “changed mind” or “no longer want the item” are accepted for store credit only.  

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Returned items must be in resellable condition upon receipt.
